The Certificate in Promotional Merchandise qualification is targeted at individuals with between 3 – 5 years industry experience and all bpma Academy graduates from 2008-2012.
The CPM qualification is aimed at individuals who have between 3–5 years industry specific experience*. All students must currently be holding a position within a promotional product company.
New delegates will begin the course with a zero credit level and gain credits by studying a series of mandatory course content, elective course content and by attending bpma organised events that hold a credit weighting. Students that have previously studied the Trained in Promotional Merchandise qualification will take their credits over to the CPM Qualification.
The CPM qualification allows students with 3-5 years industry experience* to enhance their skills that are directly related to their work experience, or to an aspect of employment that they wish to move into within their company.It also provides a step towards the highest qualification which can be reached when students have 5 years experience.
Any credits earned on the CPM will be transferred to the MPM (Master in Promotional Merchandise), meaning students will not start the MPM on zero credits.
All CPM certified personnel will have access to a CPM logo to promote their commitment to industry excellence as a trained professional. (This can be used on email signatures, business cards presentations etc)
Students studying the Certified in Promotional Merchandise Qualification must watch 8 required videos and gain 95 additional credits from their chosen elective videos if the student had progressed from the TPM Qualification. If the student has enrolled directly into the CPM qualification they will require 220 additional credits from their chosen elective videos.

Students are required to gain 300 credits before taking the CPM exam.The exam will consist of 40 multiple choice questions to be taken within a 30 minute time frame followed by an online essay question. Both parts of the exam will be taken online and will be invigilated via webcam by a BPMA Education Programme invigilator.
Our invigilators will be able to see the student and monitor the student’s computer screen in real time. This enables all students to take the exam wherever they feel comfortable at a time that suits them whilst still ensuring the integrity of the exam required for the bpma Education Programme.
The Certified Promotional Merchandise Certificate is charged as follows:
*Students will be charged the annual professional development fee of £50+vat which is to be renewed each year, continuing their access to the 3 tiered education programme. Students may cancel at anytime.
